XG SONG SHOWCASE FILES

These songs are short excerpts from the increasing XG song library.  They are here included as Standard MIDI File format data (for playback through a sequencer with an XG-compatible tone module), and as audio data, for playback through a normal CD audio player.
WARNING : These songs can be played on an audio CD player, but do not play Track 1, as it may cause damage to your HiFi system.
The audio tracks are recorded directly from an MU50 tone generator, without any additional effects or processing.  We hope you enjoy them.

RESET FILES FOR ANY SEQUENCER
**********************************
These files are here for those "just in case" times when you might try to play a Standard Midi File from another source which may not have any GM/GS/XG reset message at the beginning of a file. In this situation, your files may develop strange cases of distortion on the strings, or phaser on the piano. No need to worry, help is at hand. Simply load one of these files into your sequencer (whichever is most appropriate for your reset-free file) and hit the play button - instant reset! 
Each file is less than one bar long and contains simply the correct System Exclusive setup messages for all three Midi File types.

XG MIDI CLIPS
**********************************
MIDI clip is the musical equivalent of "clip art". XG MIDI Clips are original MIDI files specially programmed for XG compatible hardware such as DB50XG. They are designed to make it easy to add professional quality music to your presentations and other multimedia authoring. Unlike digital audio, MIDI file is very small so that the data handling and transfer is very easy. Thanks to the new XG format, XG MIDI Clips give you unprecedented music power without deep musical knowledge or composition skill. 

Note:You are free to use and edit these MIDI files within your presentation or authoring work. But if you intend to use these files for any commercial work, you must contact Yamaha for licensing. 

There are 60 MIDI files in total. You will find similar names on the files such as CL30XG,CL30XGA,B,C. For example, CL30XG is the song called "Danse Macabre", and A.B.C represent a certain part of the song. Within your presentation or authoring work, you can use the whole song "CL30XG" or some part of it such as introduction "A" according to your needs.
