NEW TEXTURES: no NEW SOUNDS: no NEW ANYTHING: no KNOWN BUGS: notta ------------------------------------ EDITOR[s] USED: WADenizer 2.0, HellMaker 1.2 BASE[s]: five original levels from scratch, plus "QUAD_DM2.WAD" by Ron Williams* BUILD TIME: few weeks, off and on .... you know ...... ------------------------------------ NOTES: A few folks have been urging me to compile all of my original maps into one WAD and try to upload it to cdrom.com in the hopes of getting them out there, so here goes nothin'. Expect lots of "outdoor" settings, water, slime, trees .... and SPIDERS!!! map 01- thePits: as close of a recreation of Quake2's DM5/ThePits as I can make as a DOOM2 SP level. The proportions are a little off, but it isn't bad, and seems like a logical choice for level 1 in that you star out with NOTHIN'. 02- SwampRooms: this is actually the first DOOM2 level I ever made. Kind of laggy in that I made the rooms a little too big and there are a few too many trees, but it's still fun. Rules as a deathmatch, too. 03- theSwampArena: I really enjoy playing this map a lot even after like 5 months, set in an outdoor enclosed area that is supposed to be like a "putt-putt golf course" of death .... incredible deatmatch level, too 04- SquonkerBog: perhaps the least successful of the batch, this was meant to be a reacreation of one of my Quake levels but sort of took on a life of its own ..... I like the little boat hauling nuclear waste. 05- theIsthmus: another recreated Quake level of mine, this one a bit more successful though, once again, it ended up "bigger" than I had wanted .... very cool deathmatch level also. 06- SpawnSQuad: *our "bonus" level, one whose structure/layout really impressed me when I first saw it (and reminded me a lot of Q2 for some reason), but was DM only. It isn't anymore. All I will say to prepare/tantalize you is that I tried to simulate a deathmatch like atmosphere with the DOOM2 SP mode to it's most glorious effect. Do NOT run this one with respawn on or you are FUCKED. Please refer to the ".txt's" folder for build info on the individual levels.
